BROWN SUGAR CAKE WITH BROWN SUGAR BUTTER SAUCE RECIPE- WITH EGG

This is one of the best moist cake using Brown Sugar and Oil. Those who wants to avoid White sugar and butter then this recipe is definitely for you.In this Recipe i have used the cake flour, which is very simple to prepare but great, to get a super fluffy, moist cake.
This corn Flour gives you good structure and Sponginess to the cake.
Preparing the Cake flour is having a simple formula.
Take 1 level cup of All purpose flour/ Maida , and remove 2 table spoon of maida and add 2 table spoon of corn flour to that.Sieve the flour 3 or 4 times to make the two flours incorporated well and aerated.Now we got one cup of cake flour for our recipes.



Ingredients:
  • Cake flour                                                1 cup
  • Baking soda                                             1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder                                        1 tsp
  • Oil(sunflower or other vegetable oil)      3/4 cup
  • Brown Sugar                                            3/4 cup
  • Egg                                                           1
  • Vanilla extract                                           1/2 tsp
  • Buttermilk                                                 1/2 cup
  • Butter                                                        1 cup
  • Brown sugar                                              1/2 cup
  • Milk                                                           2 tbls
  • Light Corn Syrup                                       1 tbls
  • Vanilla                                                        1 tsp




Buttery Brown sugar Sauce:


Method:

First grease the cake tin with oil and dust it with some flour.


Sieve the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder)for twice or thrice and keep aside.



 




 
Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
Now add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture in the order as some flour then buttermilk then again some flour and remaining buttermilk and finish with flour.

  Mix well and transfer to the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 50 mins.




Check by inserting a toothpick into the cake and it should comes out as clean.

Keep the cake in the tin for minimum 10 mins and then run a knife around the edges and invert the cake on the cooling rack.

Brown sugar sauce:
In a sauce pan  heat Butter, brown sugar milk and corn syrup. once it start boiling , stir wel and heat for 2 more mins. then remove from heat and allow it to cool. once it becomes warm add the vannila essence and stir well.

 
Pour this delicious buttery brown sugar sauce over the cake and serve.

Notes:
  • If you are adding more than 1 egg, add one at a time, after beating well add the next.
  • similarly add 1/2 cup flour then little buttermilk blend well then add another 1/2 cup flour then buttermilk  and end with the flour. mix well using spatula.
  • Bake the cake immediately after mixing the dry and wet ingredients, if you keep the batter outside for longtime means the cake will be hard.
  • Baking time will depends on the oven type. so check with the toothpick before removing the cake from the oven.
